Bookings and fired work

Cancellation & refund policy.

Plain-language 2026 draft terms for classes, memberships, vouchers, private sessions and inherently variable kiln work.

1. Preview status

These terms are a customer-friendly launch draft. They do not create a live booking contract until the legal operator, payment provider and booking system are confirmed.

2. Public classes

For a live service, cancellations made at least 7 clear days before a public class should receive a refund to the original method or one free transfer. Between 48 hours and 7 days, a transfer or studio credit may be offered. With less than 48 hours’ notice or after a no-show, the fee is normally non-refundable because materials, tutor time and a limited place have been reserved.

3. Private and group sessions

Private sessions reserve a tutor and studio capacity. A proposed fair launch rule is a full refund with 14 days’ notice, one date transfer with 7–13 days’ notice, and no refund within 7 days unless the studio can refill the slot.

4. Studio cancellation

If the studio cancels, the customer should choose between a full refund and a suitable replacement date. Reasonable direct remedies are limited to the booking fee unless consumer law requires otherwise.

5. Memberships

Membership is proposed as rolling monthly access. Cancellation should be requested before the next renewal date. Unused sessions do not automatically roll over unless the final membership terms say they do.

6. Gift vouchers

Vouchers are proposed to remain valid for 12 months, be transferable, and not exchangeable for cash. Statutory rights applying to online purchases remain unaffected.

7. Fired work

Because ceramic work can fail from hidden air, unknown clay, glaze chemistry, handling or kiln conditions, a different creative result is not automatically a defect. If the studio clearly loses or directly damages included class work through avoidable handling, a fair remedy may be a remake place, studio credit or refund of the included firing element.

8. Consumer rights

Nothing in this draft excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law. Contact [email protected] with the name, session and requested resolution.
